                                         •  To organize symposia, seminars, round tables
                                           and meetings of experts gathering the most
                                           highly qualified international specialists;

                                           (reviews, books, theses, conference
                                           proceedings…);
                                         •  To annually publish and distribute the
                                           “Directory of the Law of the Sea,” a complete
                                           working document that reports on and
                                           analyzes legal acts and events of the previous
                                           year relating to maritime affairs and the law of
                                           the sea while providing a critical perspective;
                                         •  To promote knowledge of maritime affairs and
                                           the law of the sea;
                                         •  To recognize research relevant to its mission
                                           by awarding a prize every two years.
