FROM 8 TO 14 APRIL 2018, THE PRINCIPALITY IS ONCE AGAIN MOBILIZED FOR OCEAN PRESERVATION
The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation reaffirms its commitment to better understand the threats to the environment, and in particular to the oceans, by announcing the second edition of the Monaco Ocean Week. This event, which aims to deepen reflection on the conservation of the marine environment, decisive for climate change mitigation an adaptation, will be held from 9 to 14 April 2018 throughout the Principality.
For nearly a week, the Monaco Ocean Week will be an opportunity for Monegasque institutions, international organizations based in the Principality and foreign experts to share their experiences. Workshops, symposiums, symposiums, awards ceremonies, exhibitions, documentary film screenings, awareness workshops … will be organized in emblematic places of the Principality, for professionals as well as general public.
In 2017, the first edition of the Monaco Ocean Week brought together nearly 1,000 participants around some thirty events and led to the publication of the Monaco Manifesto for the Ocean.
